Our Story
Our goals with farming are:
Leave the land better than we found it,
Farm with as few inputs (diesel, chemical fertilizer, etc.) as possible.
Researching how we could achieve these goals and make some money too led us to rotationally grazing ruminants, especially sheep. Sheep deposit their own fertilizer, and when managed properly increase soil health and fertility, and topsoil depth. Although we are still new to keeping sheep, having lambed out for the first time in 2022, we learn something new every day.
We also raise pastured broiler chicken, and keep free-range laying hens. Stop by our home and you’ll likely see a happy flock of multi-coloured chickens happily wandering through the yard.
We sell lamb by the cut, half, or whole lamb. Orders are fulfilled in December, so please call or text us at 519-505-3732 if you are interested.
Next year we also expect to have purebred registered Clun Forest ewes and rams for sale. Contact us for more information.
